HOW TO FIND A WHIPPET IN BC
The whippet is not a tremendously popular breed (thank goodness!) and prospective whippet owners may have to spend some time searching for the dog or puppy they want. If you are looking for a whippet, we recommend you check out the dog shows in your area and watch the whippets being judged. After the classes, approach the handlers of the dogs you like. Most whippet people are happy to take the time to educate prospective owners about their breed and point them in the direction of available whippets. If you are interested in racing, come on out to a race meet (check the NOTRA link below for scheduled meets) and watch the races and talk to the handlers.
A Whippet Club of BC member has also agreed to provide information on puppies and adult dogs which they know to be available, and to provide general advice on whippet care and whippet activities. For more information, email: cadley@shaw.ca
